I received my degree in veterinary medicine in May, 2000. I worked at a full service and emergency medicine practice for 2 years and have been in general private practice since 2002. My main interests are wellness care, dentistry, ultrasound and internal medicine. My extracurricular activities include hiking, cycling, running and reading. My wife, Jennifer, and I have three dogs and a hen named Delilah.

I received my veterinary degree in 2003 from Oregon State University and joined the staff at Orchard Hills Animal Hospital in July 2008. While I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, my strong interests are in pain management, anesthesia, internal medicine and senior pet care. Outside of work, I enjoy indoor and outdoor gardening, kayaking, traveling, and exploring Portland's dining scene when I can. My partner Dan and I currently share our house with two sweet kitties - Lucy Lu and Olive.

I have been with Orchard Hills Animal Hospital for nearly 20 years (!) and will work here as long as I work. The clients and patients feel like family after all these years. I feel blessed to have found a job I love going to everyday - I was born and raised on a farm so I guess it comes as no surprise I love working where I am in contact with animals. I have a 5 year old miniature dachsund I actually acquired from working here and he is the best little guy ever. In my free time I love camping and hiking all over the Pacific Northwest. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area!

We love boating, camping and hiking and own a Doggy Daycare in Vancouver.

I unexpectedly started my veterinary career in 1997 and decided in late 2002 to sit for the Veterinary Technician Certification Boards. I received my Certification in 2003. I joined OHAH in June 2009 as the part-time weekend CVT.  I share my home with 7 special needs cats and a husband (all of which keep me on my toes). I'm also a full-time student working towards a degree in Human Nursing.  I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

I started in the veterinary field about 15 years ago, although I have spent my whole life with animals. I was born and raised on a cattle ranch in northern California. I attended V.C. Davis and hold a B.S. degree in animal service. I have been involved with A.K.C. show dogs for over 30 years, working mostly with Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Australian Shepherds. I have shown a number of breeds professionally and have also worked as a groomer. I started working at Orchard Hills Animal Hospital in August of 2010 and have enjoyed meeting all of your great four-legged family members.

I started volunteering at the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. It was then that I found my passion with animals. From there, I started volunteering at Orchard Hills Animal Hospital as a requirement to pursue being a veterinarian through college. I love working with animals and I have two dogs of my own. Little Ann is the puppy I've know since she was born. She is now 5, Dutches is my older dog (age 16) who my family rescued from being put down. Her birthday is on Valentines Day. I will always love animals and hope to one day make a career out of that. I am big on winter sports and have been skiing since I was 4 years old. I also enjoy tennis and played for the varsity team at Washougal High School.
