Appointments
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet needs. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to stabilize pets that are in potentially life-threatening conditions. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen. Seriously ill or injured pets are always given priority!
We also offer drop-off appointments, allowing you to leave your pet with us if your schedule is too busy for a set appointment time or if our appointment schedule is full but you need to get your pet in to be seen by the vet.
Doctor Supervised Boarding
We have a small but brand new and exceptionally clean boarding facility. Cats have their own private room, so they don't have to tolerate those pesky dogs! Our indoor dog runs are large and medium in size. When the weather is good and with owner consent, we turn dogs out into very large individualized outdoor runs (with two separate chain link fences fencing them in) in our 1-acre grassy back yard. Dogs are checked on every 1-2 hours. When the weather is cruddy (as we all know it can be here!), the dogs are walked three times daily.

Notice we said pet boarding is doctor supervised. Trained technicians work with and assess all boarding pets every day. If they notice something of concern with any boarding pet, they bring their concerns to the doctor immediately. Also, at the end of every day, the entire hospital team - including the doctor - performs hospital rounds, in which each and every animal in the hospital is discussed by the team. We feel this provides you with an extra measure of comfort when your pet stays with us while you are away.

Orchard Hills Animal Hospital accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Care Credit as forms of payment. We are no longer accepting checks. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, payment in full is expected at the time services are rendered. We do not offer any form of billing.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
Orchard Hills Animal Hospital offers discounted services to senior citizens and local area rescue groups. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rescue group discounts, please call us for more information.
