Catlin Alexander
Certified Veterinary Technician
Catlin Alexander, CVT, has been passionate about animal care since she was a child. Although she once envisioned becoming a large animal veterinarian, she discovered that her true calling was veterinary technology, where she could make a hands-on difference in the lives of pets every day. She graduated from Miller-Motte Technical School in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2017 and has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care ever since.
Originally from a small town in North Carolina, Catlin spent nine years living in Portland before relocating to Washougal with her fiancé and their new baby. She enjoys the close-knit feel of her new community and is excited to continue caring for pets and the people who love them.
At home, Catlin shares her life with three wonderful dogs. Chuy, her 14-year-old Lab/Border Collie mix, has been by her side since puppyhood and even traveled cross-country with her during her move to the Pacific Northwest. Rambler, a 10-year-old Pug adopted through Pacific Pug Rescue, has an especially inspiring story as a former California street dog who thrives despite having no eyes. The family is rounded out by Arrow, an entertaining Chihuahua, Standard Dachshund, and Husky mix.
When she’s not at the hospital, Catlin enjoys gardening, caring for her growing collection of houseplants, and planting native species that support the Pacific Northwest environment. She also loves spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking whenever she has the opportunity.
